Logo and Monogram Design Process

Email or Phone Consultation

We start the design process by getting to know your style, vision and goals for obtaining a logo or monogram. At this time you will need to send us details about your project and any ideas you may have. For example this may include: text you need written, calligraphy fonts you like, colors, any design ideas or artwork you love, etc. If you have inspirational photos of things you like please email those as well. Also, please visit our logo and monogram pricing section to view our package options and select which best fits your budget and needs.

 

Quote and Payment

After we receive your email or phone call, a detailed price quote estimate will be sent to you within 1 business day. If you would like to move forward and book us, the calligraphy order form/contract will need to be completed at this time. Once we receive this form, a 50% (non-refundable) deposit will be due. Final payment (non-refundable) will be due once we are finished – before the design is emailed back to you.

 

Design and Proofs

All of our logo and design work is first sketched out in pencil. This includes all the lettering that will be done in calligraphy, flourishes and some simple artwork. This gives us the opportunity to make edits before lettering the design in ink. During this stage you will receive several images of the sketch as we proceed. You will have the opportunity to make two free rounds of revisions once the sketches are complete. Any further edits will be billed at $50 per revision. Please make sure you review your proofs carefully and twice! Once you have approved all sketches, each piece will be inked in beautiful calligraphy. We will not be able to go back and make any edits after this occurs.

If you have opted for any graphic design elements or ink colors other than black, these elements will be added into your design after the calligraphy is finalized. You will receive two to three creative design concepts incorporating these components with our calligraphy to choose from. Two rounds of free revisions are given at this time as well. Further revisions will be billed at $50 per edit.

 

Approval and Completion

Once you have approved and selected your design, the final payment (non-refundable) will be due. We will then email your completed logo or monogram design to you in a file format that is appropriate for printing purposes and website design development.
